The Colonial Consortium

Just as the Commonwealth emerged early in the middle colonial period, a rival power - the Colonial Consortium - was formed at the end of that era out of necessity. This ascendant society arose after the second great Colonial War war between the Commonwealth and the now-defunct Colonial Confederation. Not a government in a true sense, the Consortium is rather a decentralized affiliation of nine star systems run by a highly-organized corporate body.
